The Government of Uganda and the Ministry of Education and Sports have recently given Cadena and our partner Mamza Consulting Ltd, the opportunity to start the OPEC funded project “Consultancy Services for Provision of Skills & Institutional Management Capacity Upgrading for Eight Technical Institutes in Uganda”.
The overall objective of the consultancy services is to provide Skils and Institutional Management capacity upgrading for 8 technical institutions and outline the additional equipment required, develop specifications for identified equipment, control equipment installations, commissioning and user training.
The main purpose is to quarantee that detailed technical description, tender action, contract execution and operationalization of TVET supplies for the eight institutions are set out in an efficient and economical manner. The equipment to be availed at the Technical Institutes must be based on the student outcome of a particular programme or training course they wish to achieve. The requested outcome or standard are determined by the labour market requirements, which are fed into qualifications, occupational standards and curricula. the available occupational standards and CBET curricula should define the workshops and laboratories equipment requierements.
To rationalise all this, a conceptual framework has been developed on how the activities will be organized and conducted.
