Our consortium is operative in Djibouti, we are providing services for the EU delegation and to IGAD (l’Autorité Intergouvernementale pour le Développement). The motive of this mission is to promote the voice, position, and participation of youth in EU actions in Djibouti, and implement initiatives that engage young Djiboutians and have a positive impact on the visibility and awareness of the EU in Djibouti. Our (capacity building) activities over 3 years should lead to:
– an increased number of Djiboutian students applying for and participating in Erasmus+ exchanges;
– strengthened academic and cultural ties between Djibouti and European countries; a well-connected and active network of EU alumni promoting EU values and opportunities in Djibouti – opportunities for Djiboutians in Europe, and for Europeans in Djibouti;
– increased visibility of EU educational and cultural programs within the University of Djibouti.
– improved communication, participation, and leadership skills of young participants
– greater youth participation in consultation processes for EU programming
– increased visibility for the EU in Djibouti
– a diverse and representative youth sector representative of the youth population affected by EU projects who can approach the EUD and be approached by the EUD to establish an active consultation mechanism and better align EU initiatives with the needs and aspirations of young Djiboutians.
