Recently we have signed a contract with the World Bank to develop the Pilot of Apprenticeships for Urban Youth in Addis Ababa under the planned Urban Safety Net and Jobs Project (USNJP).
The objective of this project is to help improve the incomes of selected urban poor and the labor market inclusion of disadvantaged urban youth.
It is Cadena’s responsibility to develop the framework and manual for the implementation of the apprenticeships pilot, thereby taking into consideration: student and firm registration, selection, (soft skills and job search) training, monitoring, evaluation and certification.
We are delighted to assist the Government of Ethiopia with this pilot and expect to finalize all elements of the assignment in September 2020. The team that is responsible for the implementation consists of two consultants and a project manager. Work will be home-based due to the Corona virus.
